Exhibitions
Eye 4 Photography
The State Library's largest and most ambitious photographic exhibition to date offers a visual feast of more than 125 works, many seen for the first time. The images range from the earliest daguerreotypes produced in the colony to stunning photographs by our most celebrated photographers.
Eye 4 Photography charts the medium's 160 year journey to the digital era in Australia, and the people and places it captured along the way. Spanning three galleries the exhibition represents the cream of the Library's photographic collection of more than one million images.
